This product replaces the power electronics and switching circuits in a Coleman Rugged Rechargable battery powered lantern, model 5327 family size series lantern. The product will maintain the same form factor and interfaces as the original electronics. These interfaces include coaxial power/charging port, power port status indicator, battery power/charging terminals, light bulb contacts, night light LED, and function switch.

The product will maintain or improve the functional performance characteristics of the original electronics and lantern. These performance characteristics include a light output of 165 luemens, a run time of 9 hours on low, a run time of 6 hours on high, charge a 6 V 4 AH sealed lead acid battery from either a 12V DC source or using the OEM 120V AC adapter provided with the lantern. It must also comply with part 15 of the FCC Rules and comply with limits for a class B device.
