Project description
kom (from esperanto komunumo: community) is a project which aims to develop an easy to use, low cost mobile platform for research and advanced education in robotics. The name of the project wants two important goals of the platform:
- All the development history and files will be open to the community, so that all the effort put in creating the platform could be used by others if they wanted to adapt it to a different purpose.
- The aim to create a low cost platform has a double purpose: lower the economic entry-barrier for the creation of a mobile robotics laboratory, and make it possible to researchers in swarm-robotics to test their algorithms in real hardware.
