Dimosthenis E. Bolanakis received a B.Sc. degree in “Electronic Engineering” from the Thessalonikis Educational Institute of Technology, Greece in 2001 and a M.Sc. degree in “Modern Electronic Technologies” from the University of Ioannina, Greece in 2004. Presently, he pursues a Ph.D. degree in University of Ioannina, Greece. The period 2003-9 he worked as a Laboratory Associate at the Dept. of Informatics and Tele-communications, Epirus Educational Institute of Technology, Greece (with more than 2,300 teaching hours), while in parallel he participated in research projects for the a) Reinforcement of Informatics' Education, b) Broadening Higher Education, and c) De-velopment of an FPGA-based Digital Mammography System. The period 2010-14 he occupied as Electronic Engineer in the industry, where the latter 2 years he joined the European System Sensors S.A. Corporation (http://www.esenssys.com/) specialized on the design of MEMS sensors. Currently he holds a Special Lab & Teaching Personnel position at Hellenic Air Force Academy, Department of Air Force Science (Informatics & Computer section). D.E. Bolanakis has (co)authored more than 15 papers (mainly on Research in Engineering Education) as well as the book “Microcomputer Architecture: Low-level Programming Methods and Applications of the M68HC908GP32” (ISBN: 9789609345361). He has also refereed articles for IEEE Transactions on Education, Computer Applications in Engineering Education, International Journal of Engineering Education and IEEE Technology and Engineering Education (former name: IEEE Mul-tidisciplinary Engineering Education Magazine).
